Content – Consistency

  • Column width should all be the exact same between rows.
  • Columns should be the same height, even if text does not fully fill the column. 
  • Margins or padding are inconsistent between pages. 
  • Margins or padding are inconsistent within the same page. 
  • Content on the page is not vertically aligned
  • Content is aligned inconsistently among columns.
    • For example, one column is left aligned, and the others are center aligned, 
  • Design elements are not aligned to one another.
  • Different styles used across site pages or within the same page. 
  • Different layouts used across site pages or within the same page.

Example of Error: Layout

For site, the layout changed within the same page. The layout was set to be alternating bios and images, over a gray background. The last bio broke this pattern. It did have an extra image, but that image could have been omitted with builder notation, or it could have been added beneath the bio, following the same pattern.
