Tips related to achieving a desirable outcome reliant on certain Beaver Builder Functionality.
Sift through the different possible scenarios to find tips & tricks on the best way to accomplish your goal.

DCT

  • If a specific logo is provided in the DCT, this must be used on the website
  • All content and requests in the DCT must be implemented within scope.
    • If the request is out of scope, builder must leave a note as to why this was not followed.
    • If builder is unsure about the scope of the request, technical clarification should be submitted.

Example: In this instance, DCT requested that no commerce elements would be included in the build, but store elements were added

  • Information provided in the pages of the DCT should be present.

Example: In this instance, content was requested to be pulled from the existing site, but the tagline was omitted

  • Content was included on the site that was specifically NOT to be present per instructions given in the DCT.
  • If a specific hero image is provided in the DCT, this must be used on the website
  • Information provided in the footer of the DCT should be present.
  • Information provided in the header of the DCT should be present.
  • The titles in the navigation menu do not match the pages’ names in the DCT, or there is a spelling and/or grammar error.

As a general rule

  • Specific content or instructions should not be altered in a way that wasn’t requested
  • Content that was not requested should not be included

It’s important to note that while minor additions or alterations may sometimes be required to enhance clarity or rectify errors, it’s imperative to refrain from making unauthorized changes to customer content. Provided content that is acceptable and usable on the site should not be altered unless absolutely necessary. Any proposed alterations should offer clear value and make evident improvements. It’s crucial to acknowledge that altering the requested content without clear justification poses a high risk with minimal reward. Therefore, unless we are certain of providing substantial value and making discernible enhancements, we must proceed with caution.
