QA Standards

A cta button, hyperlinked text, social media icon, etc, has one of the following errors:

• Leads to a link that was not requested, or a link that is not relevant to the business
• Is different from the link provided by the customer in any way
• The customer provided a link, but the button, text, or hyperlink is deadlinked without justification
• An anchorlink was used when it was not necessary

• All external links should open in a new tab

• All URLs or text with associated links should be hyperlinked on the website
• Example: Links were provided in the DCT for each individuals’ profile, in this case no hyperlink or button was created for the profiles on the page

• If a URL or link was not provided or requested for text on the page, it should not be hyperlinked

• All hyperlinks should be placed on text or a button unless otherwise requested in the DCT
