Standard Procedure for Adding a Blog Post to an Existing Site

Adding a blog post to a WordPress site
If the customer has a blog already set up:
- Add a new post – add title/post/featured image/category (if provided)
- View the post in archive and singular to assure quality, publish
Use the following resources to help you:
If the customer does not have a blog set up yet:
- Create blog page:
- create a new page called “Blog” if no page name was provided
- in customizer or in dashboard > settings > reading – set this blog page as the default posts page
- Create an archive themer layout assigned to “all archives”
- Create a singular themer layout assigned ONLY to “singular post > all posts”
- Now add a new post – add title/post/featured image/category (if provided)
- Add a link in header navigation menu to the new blog page created, this should be to the left of the Contact page (if they have one) or if they didn’t request a position in the menu for it to be placed
