Copy Errors

All sites will be reviewed for spelling and grammar errors via the Language Tool. Be sure to utilize this resource to ensure these errors are caught prior to delivery.

  • All text present on the site should utilize proper spelling
  • All text present on the site should utilize proper grammar, punctuation, and spacing
  • Text on the site should not use any words or phrases that are not commonly used in the United States
  • All text should utilize the spelling correlated with the websites origin (i.e. “Color” for U.S. sites and “Colour” for CA sites).
  • All text on the site should be free of any offensive language
  • All text should properly relate to the product, service, or intent of the website

Example:

  • In their logo, it appears they may be well known for their tint and accessories they offer vs the car audio, so it is strange that the heading on the contact page only highlights their car audio services.
  • Since they offer more than just one service, maybe something more generic would be best. “Ask About Our Car Audio Services” or something similar

  • All text on the site should be written from the point of view requested in the DCT
  • POV should be used consistently throughout the site
