I did not test the functionality of this snippet as the functionality provided by this plugin is now provided by the Yoast plugin based upon my testing. When Yoast is active, the WooCommerce Category description is converted to a rich text editor which allows for HTML.
Also, this snippet was reported as nonfunctional and likely deprecated.
